SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY

As Martin Luther once said:  God does not need your good works, but your neighbor does. 

Epiphany members regularly deliver meals for our local Meals on Wheels program. We also engage in a variety of service projects throughout the year to serve those in need in our community. Check the calendar or the newsletter on the home page for information on our current projects.

Community Space

We are happy to make our facilities available to members and the rest of the community to the extent practicable. Please contact the church office to initiate a conversation.

Afghan Refugee Assistance

The major center for Afghans coming now to the U.S. is at Fort Lee in Virginia, and one report suggests that a majority of Afghans who come to the United States will wind up settling in the DMV area.

Lutheran Social Services – National Capital Area is taking a leadership role in resettling as many as 2,500 Afghan refugees in the D.C. area over the next six weeks. Finally, the International Rescue Committee is a large international organization assisting refugees that has made Afghan refugee resettlement an immediate priority.
